When it comes to coffee you won't get the hard sell from us.
We're big believers in letting the product speak for itself. Rather than just telling you about how we can help you, we prefer to show you.
Come down and visit us at the roastery - you'll be able to see the care we put into each batch we roast and you can see first hand the work that goes into making coffee that tastes this good. We'll brew up a few different coffees and you can taste the different flavour profiles that they have - we can work out what kind of coffee suits your customers best.
You can meet us face to face. We're big believers in relationships, and we take a lot of pleasure in getting to know who we're working with. It matters to us who we partner up with: it always helps if our ethos lines up with yours, and while you might not find our coffee on every street corner you will find it in the places that matter. Also you better figure out whether you like us or not - you might think we are dicks.
We have years of experience in the speciality coffee industry and are currently running one of the city's best coffee bars. So when you work with us you get access to that in the form of training, troubleshooting and advice to help you level up your coffee offering.

Making salad bowls sleek and sexy one leaf at a time, you can find Sprigg on Ingram Street wrassling their lunchtime rush with expertise and precision. These salad bowls are super-charged, and about as fresh as it gets. Coffee wise Sprigg are serving only single origin espresso from a beautiful Kees van der Westen Mirage. Working alongside the team, we source four different single origins every year for them to serve exclusively every three months or so. Level up your working lunch troops.
Or as we like to call it in the roastery “¡El Mercado Zero!” Lizzie & Graham are the innovators and effort makers behind the concept based on Hillfoot Street in Dennistoun. They are flying in the face of the big grocery stores, and offering you - the discerning client - the opportunity to shop waste free. Imagine. Just bring a tub or a jar or a bag and fill it up with whatever you need. Weigh. Pay. Slay. They’re selling some top notch fruit and veg, baked goods, grains, beans, pastas you name it. They’re very much in line with our own ethos around packaging, so you can refill your Cartel tins with our beans there - generally a couple of single origins available. The zero waste thing is not easy, but it’s the effort makers who will change this world. ¡Viva El Mercado Zero!
Started in Amsterdam in 1988 as a successful English tea-room, Greenwoods was given a new lease of life when it was taken over by Daniel Post in 2010. After Scottish lass Jen Nelson became general manager of their two venues in the Dutch capital in 2012, an opportunity came up for Jen to move home and open an Edinburgh venue. And this is that venue. Beautifully decked out, slinging shots of Bronco like nobody’s business and serving up what many are tipping to be the best brunch in town. Only one way to find out, right?
HBW (Stirling)
Our man in Stirling. Conor first bowled in the doors of The Cartel in 2018 with his idea for HBW: a plant based coffee shop in the heart of the city. Here he continues his mission to provide tasty and unpretentious vegan offerings alongside delicious speciality coffee. They’re on a custom job, coffee-wise: the newly created HBW blend. The only place in the country you can find it is on the shelves of this beautifully considered space. Final word on HBW: Hands down the best pancakes I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a LOT of pancakes.
Our first wholesale customer, Pete, with his Black Pine Coffee Co. is one of the OGs of The Cartel. You’ll find his - regularly refurbished - store at 518 Great Western Road slinging our custom built Black Pine Blend from a natty wee Slayer Espresso machine. This is the only place in Glasgow where you can buy retail tins of the notorious Black Pine Blend. They also regularly have some of our single origin stuff available for filter alongside guest options from some of the heavy hitters in the roasting game from across the UK.
They’re some buzz, this mob. The clue is in the name - it’s all day, every day brunch. Can’t have brunch without coffee am I rite bossman? They’re slinging shots of our house blend Bronco to cater for all your caffeine related needs. Need a coffee to go with your steak frites? Bronco. Need a coffee to go with your waffles? Bronco. Need a coffee to go with your granola bowl? Bronco. You get the picture. The Brunch Club is all about pleasing the crowds, and Bronco is the perfect coffee for that purpose. This place is always jumping and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Brunch Bae himself doing the rounds.
Nestled in the picturesque town of Abersoch in North Wales Blades Deli serves up all the GOOD stuff. Bronco is a regular feature on the bar with plenty of filter options gracing their shelves.
The bold Theo is some buzz. Everything is made in house - we’re talking sourdough, we’re talking soups, sausage rolls, stews, sandwiches, salads and whatever dashes across Theo’s brain in between. Coffee wise they are keeping it tight with our house blend Bronco, and offering retail options of that plus our range of seasonal single origins. This ain’t no small village tea room - Theo draws on his vast experience of hospitality in Oz and all over to make Roasted a real heavy hitter in the game.
Gains gains gains. How does Coco get so hench? Well it’s because the gang at Improve are regularly putting him through his paces with their revolutionary, award-winning small group PT sessions. Bringing some London & New York swagger to the Glasgow fitness scene while maintaining the working-class values of our home town, this gym strives to provide a fun, friendly and non-judgemental environment in which you can sweat your ass off in pursuit of whatever it is you fitness freaks are after. As a bonus, you can enjoy some of that Good ol’ Cartel magic (Bronco) pre & post workout.
Repping us on the Emerald Isle we have Ciaran and his Batch. Batch is a small family run independent coffee bar & kitchen on Donegal’s North West coast along the Wild Atlantic Way. They focus their time on curating a range of the best products to present to the discerning locals of Falcarragh and beyond with a huge range of deli items, wines, craft beers, and of course coffee. They also do a pretty natty line in hampers & gift boxes. If you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, Batch is the place.
